Notification Settings
Notification Settings in Amorphic help you get fine-grain control on notification preferences apart from the global notification setting.

to receive emails based on your preferred notification settings. - For now we only provide support for Email Notifications.
Select the particular checkbox to set up notifications for required functions as shown in the above gif. The same steps apply to all the below options.
Connections
Below are the notification settings available for connection resources:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Update | This option sends a notification to the user when there is a change in connection metadata |
Delete | A notification will be sent if the connection is deleted. |
AuthUpdate | Whenever there is any change to the authorization grants like Users added/removed, Tag access granted/revoked a notification will be sent. |
Datasets
Below are the notification settings available for dataset resources:
Setting | Description |

Update | This option sends a notification to the user when there is a change in dataset metadata |
Delete | A notification will be sent if the dataset is deleted. |
DataUpdate | A notification will be sent if there is any change to the data in the dataset. |
DataError | This option sends a notification to user if there is any error during the dataload to the dataset. |
AuthUpdate | Whenever there is any change to the authorization grants like Users added/removed, Tag access granted/revoked a notification will be sent. |
Dashboards
Below are the notification settings available for dashboard resources:

Jobs

Schedules
Below are the notification settings available for schedule resources:

Below are the notification settings available for workflow resources:

NodeExecutionFailure | A notification will be sent when a node belonging to a workflow fails. |
Connection Tasks
Below are the notification settings available for connection tasks:
Setting | Description |

TaskCreate | A notification will be sent if the task is created. |
TaskDelete | A notification will be sent if the task is deleted. |
TaskUpdate | A notification will be sent if any changes are made to the task. |
TaskSuccess | A notification will be sent if the task executed successfully. |
TaskError | A notification will be sent if the task execution failed or is running with errors. |
Email notifications for custom emails
- Sending emails to custom email addresses in RFC 822 format (abc.xyz@def.co.uk) is not supported.
- Support for these email addresses will be provided in the next release.
Provides ability to send emails to users, including custom email addresses at the resource level. In order to do this, please follow the steps stated below:
- Navigate through the available resources and choose the specific resource.
- Locate the action menu at the top right of the screen and click on the 'Notification Settings' option.
- Inside the 'Notification Settings' menu, users have the option to enable 'Email' or 'Push' notifications for their linked email address, found under the 'Username' tab.
- Users can also select the 'Add an email id' option under the 'Others' tab. Here, users can enter the desired email address in the 'Send Notification to' text field.
- Specify the notification settings for the selected resource by choosing from the available options in the 'Notify for' drop-down menu for the provided email address. These settings determine the type of notifications that will be sent to the custom email addresses provided by the user.
In summary, users have the flexibility to configure email notifications for their linked email address and they can opt in to send certain notifications to custom email addresses, at the resource level. Configuration of these notification settings can be done, ensuring that the appropriate notifications are delivered for the chosen resource.
